I've been going round and round with SonicWALL tech support (which, if I may editorialize for a few words, is less than adequate). Unfortunately, I can't make hide nor hair out of it.

It seems as though there is a driver that fails to initialize and it's having NIC installation issues. Out of the 5 machines I've attempted this on, 2 have successfully worked: an older Vista machine and a brand new Windows 7 laptop fresh out of the box (I attempted to break this one by installing my antivirus program (Vipre) but it still worked afterward.) I've uninstalled everything that I thought would interfere with the client: anti-virus, software firewalls, aircard connection managers, etc. I've gone through SonicWall tech support which was less than helpful. Everything from 'failure to initialize' to 'a damaged version NetExtender was detected on your computer.'
